Some Nottingham Forest fans are raving about their players Matty Cash and Brice Samba after the duo was named in the Team of the Championship so far.
Cash, who has played as the club’s first-choice right-back this season, has impressed under Sabri Lamouchi so far. Brice Samba, whereas, joined the club this past summer.
The WhoScored Championship Team of the Season has named both of them in the side, with strikers Steven Fletcher and Aleksandar Mitrovic up front in the 4-4-2 formation. John Swift and Kevin Phillips have been given a spot in midfield too.
Some Forest fans are ecstatic at the news and want to see more of the same from the duo.

Brice Samba could save Brexit and Matty Cash could stop climate change. This is no real surprise

Hands off! Neither of them are any good really… Let’s keep hold of them at #nffc for a bit until they mature pic.twitter.com/pywTRBhH24

Cash, 22, has played in 17 games in all competitions for Forest this season. Despite playing at right-back, he has scored twice and has racked up a tally of just as many assists too.
As far as Samba is concerned, the Frenchman has played 13 times in all competitions this season. He has managed to keep four clean-sheets in the Championship and has let in only nine goals so far.
Samba joined the club from Ligue 2 side Caen this past summer for an undisclosed fee. Before joining, the goalkeeper had even played one game in the Ligue 2 for Caen and managed to keep a clean sheet in that too.
Cash, though, had been a regular for Forest last season too. He had played 41 times in all competitions under Martin O’Neill last season but played further forward in midfield for him. He scored eight times and had a tally of two assists.
Some Forest fans are wary of the media attention both the players are getting. Some also criticised club legend Kenny Burns for being wrong about Cash.
Great stuff, proper recognition. Mind you says how mad footie is when a young player who has only played a few games at fb and is still learning the position is supposedly suddenly worth £12m ! Needs to stay and keep progressing with us. BTW Burns should really shut up !

But but but…. Kenny burns says Cash isn’t good enough

What do we think?
Both the players have been immense under Lamouchi this season. Cash has looked like a complete full-back and has contributed to both departments for the side. It is a combination of Cash’s contributions and Samba’s goalkeeping that Forest have the second-best defence in the Championship this season. They have only conceded 13 games so far. That shows how important Cash and Samba are to the City Ground-based side.
