Some Nottingham Forest can’t over Tiago Silva’s impressive piece of skill in the club’s 1-0 win over East Midlands rivals Derby County.
The game at the City Ground this past weekend saw Lewis Grabban score a second-half goal to hand Sabri Lamouchi’s men a huge 1-0 win to lift the club up to the fifth position in the Championship table.
While it was Grabban who scored the winner, Tiago Silva’s performance got a huge amount of attention. What got even more attention was a piece of skill that the midfielder came up with when Forest were attacking the visitors.
Some Reds’ fans hailed Tiago for the show up he put up.

Man of the match for me yesterday. Absolute quality. He has the quality but also works hard for the team and gets his tackles in.

The club managed to sign Silva from Portuguese club Feirense this past summer on a two-year deal. He had arrived a week after Lamouchi had joined Forest, taking over from Martin O’Neill as the manager.
So far this season, Silva has played 18 times in all competitions for Forest. He has made ten starts in the Championship, racking up a tally of two assists and one assist in all competitions for the club.
For Feirense last season, the 26-year-old had played 29 times in the Portuguese league. He had managed to score three times for the club, racking up a tally of five assists too.
Some fans also made comparisons of the business Forest did in Silva
Currently Tiago Silva is much better than Carvalho. An outstanding performance from him today. #nffc

What do we think?
Silva’s transfer fee was undisclosed, but Nottingham Post did reveal that it was understood to be a seven-figure sum. For a fee like that, Forest appear to have got a player who has been one of the most important ones this season. His skill was magical and fans and onlookers alike will love to see more of it in the coming weeks.
