Liverpool fans on Twitter have been reacting to a picture of Harvey Elliott appearing to mock Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

This comes after Liverpool news Twitter account @LivEchoLFC  shared a post on their official page that included a picture of Elliott in training holding two fingers up to the camera, alongside a picture of Guardiola holding two fingers up during Liverpool’s 3-1 win over the reigning Premier League champions.

This post then gathered a number of replies from Liverpool fans who found Elliott’s actions funny.

This refers to the two handball decisions that did not go in City’s favour during their defeat before the international break. Now it seems that almost two weeks after the clash, some Liverpool fans and players are still making fun of Guardiola’s actions.

What do we think?

It’s not certain that Elliott made the gesture with the intention of mocking Guardiola. But with the Spaniard’s exuberant actions on the Anfield touchline arguing with the referee decisions, it’s clear to see why some Liverpool fans have taken it that way.

But considering that Elliott was banned last month for making an offensive remark towards Harry Kane, it may not be the best idea for the 16-year-old to mock someone else publicly if that was his intention.
