Some Liverpool fans have been criticising Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola after his reaction to Sunday’s 3-1 defeat at Anfield.
This wave of criticism comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @empireofthekop shared a post explaining how disappointed they were in Guardiola’s full-time antics, labelling him a “worse loser than Mourinho.”
This tweet then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who shared the same sentiments about the City manager.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans slating Guardiola:
He was embarassing

Pep can’t handle losing at all. Also not to say he’s a fraud but it’s also a fact that all of the club he’s managed so far has been the best team in their respective league with insane financial power to boot. Unlike, say, Ranieri who win the league with Leicester

He’s a fraud, he’s left every team when he knows there’s going to be a dip in form. Barca needed a bit of rebuilding when he left and Bayern were aging. I’m telling you, he’s going at the end of the season if he doesn’t win the league or champions league

I said that yesterday aswell , starting got sound like mourinho every week , so used to getting his own way cause teams are afraid to play them at there own game , Liverpool stood up to them and more another massive 3 points , never give up

After the 3-1 defeat at Anfield, Guardiola walked onto the pitch, shook the hands of the trio of match officials including referee Michael Oliver, while sarcastically thanking them. This show of defiance towards the referee was due to the two handball incidents that were not given in City’s favour during the match.
Pep’s frustrations did not go down too well with some Liverpool fans, who have since labelled the Catalan a sore loser.
I’ve been saying this for years to angry responses.
If Pep wasn’t as successful as he has been, he’d be judged far differently for his persona.
Very unlikable to me, comes across classless and petulant. People let him of the hook because he’s of his success.

How can you give such high praise for a chequebook manager ? I mean at least Jose made Porto into superstars pephas has it ready made in every situation pep is good but Jurgen is next level special pep could never do what jurgen has done NEVER !!

Known this a long time ago.
He’s not mentally strong which makes him do loads of panic buys in the name of buying quality which mostly end up as average players and make him look stupid in the end.
That’s my assertion about him, so I’m not amazed he’s actually getting worse— MoyinOluwa (@Omokolade_O) November 11, 2019
What do we think?
Given the obviousness of the two handball incidents that were not given by Oliver, Guardiola has a right to be frustrated. However, the sarcastic congratulations to the officials did come across as a bit disrespectful and unnecessary, but that just goes to show how passionate he is about his team winning. The list of trophies and titles the now 48-year-old has won in his managerial career with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City is lengthy and impressive. But his actions in Sunday’s match has turned a few Liverpool fans off the manager.
Of course, Liverpool fans won’t mind all the controversy as their side went nine points clear at the top of the table, with a Guardiola meltdown adding to the drama.
