Liverpool fans on Twitter have been singing the praises of youth player Neco Williams.
This wave of praise came after the official Liverpool Twitter account shared a post that contained a short clip of Williams talking about his debut for the club and his assist in their 5-5 draw with Arsenal in the Carabao Cup last month.
This post then gathered a number of replies from Liverpool fans who were happy to see the teenager enjoy his first bit of playing action for the club.

The 18-year-old right-back assisted Divock Origi’s stunning overhead kick to draw Liverpool level in the dying minutes against Arsenal to take the game to penalties which Liverpool eventually won to secure their place in the quarter-finals of the competition (BBC Sport).
In a short clip from Liverpool’s ‘The Academy’ series, Williams spoke of how proud he was to make his debut at Anfield, and that he has since watched the replay of his assist hundreds of times.
This clip then got many Liverpool fans excited by the teenage prospect.
He was really good. Willam can be Trent back up along with Hoever.

What do we think?
To make his debut at Anfield in such a tense and dramatic game and to then get his first assist for Divock Origi’s acrobatic equaliser to save the game for the Reds, was very special. In 14 appearances for the youth and senior levels for Liverpool this season in all competitions, Williams has scored two goals and made two assists (per Transfermarkt). This goes to show how the teenager has proved himself as an attacking threat in games.
