Liverpool fans have been demanding on Twitter for Jurgen Klopp to be given a pay rise by the club.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter accounts @AnfieldWatch shared a post on their official page containing a list of the top highest-paid managers in world football right now.
The list showed that Klopp is the 10th highest-paid manager in the world, earning €8 million (£7 million) a year compared to Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola who tops the list with €23 million (£20 million) a year, which came about thanks to the Daily Mail’s recent report on manager salaries.
This post then led to a number of replies from Liverpool fans shocked by Klopp’s earnings.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans saying Klopp deserves to be paid more:
Klopp must look at that and wonder what he’s doing wrong

The two most successful coaches currently in the PL getting paid the most amount of money? Wow. I’m shocked. Who’d have thought?!

No wonder he is leaving when his contract is up

Mr. Klopp is under paid, period!!

Klopp recently saw Liverpool pick up their sixth Champions League title after beating fellow Premier League side Tottenham 2-0 in Madrid at the end of last season. Despite this big win for the club, Klopp still finds himself on the low end of the top 10 best-paid managers in the world.
This news surprised many Liverpool fans who would like to see Klopp given even more money.
Heck underpaid! Should give him a big bonus to compensate this.

What do we think?
Given how Klopp has brought Liverpool into back-to-back Champions League finals, maybe he does deserve a pay rise. It’s clear to see that a lot of Liverpool fans like and respect Klopp for his time at the club if they think he needs to be given more money by the club owners, and who can argue with them.
