Phil Hay tweeted out a very impressive stat about the amount of interceptions Leeds United’s Ben White has made so far this season, leaving many fans raving about the 22-year-old Brighton loanee.
Indeed, the defender has made the most interceptions in the Championship so far this season with 46 in 16 appearances, making an average of 2.9 per game.
The Leeds United fans were quick to reply, with one fan saying that he feels White and Kalvin Phillips could ‘slot seamlessly into the England team’ which is high praise for such young players.
Most interceptions in the Championship and an all-round game which has got Liverpool and Manchester United interested. A tactical look at the difference Ben White has made to Leeds United’s defence:https://t.co/tDl7jDHXsT

Going to the very top this lad, would absolutely love to see us sign him in Summer but think there will be serious interest from a lot of top Clubs.

Most interceptions means he reads the game better than the rest and and has a great footballing brain. Very impressed with him as its obvious he can play at a higher level.

Some of the fans wanted Phil Hay to stop shouting about this talent centre-back, probably in the hope that bigger clubs might forget about him, which is unlikely.
Wish you’d stop publishing this stuff phil, we need to keep white and Phillips out of the news no moves for them in January hopefully

See what Brighton do at end of season. Big money may sway them .

What Do We Think?
You don’t need us to tell you that White has been outstanding this season, which is most likely the main reason why the fans want everyone to keep quiet about him. At just 22-years-old, it’s going to be amazing to see the defender grow as a player in the next couple of seasons, however, these fans will be hoping his future is with Leeds.
