Leeds United’s official Twitter page posted a video from 2000, in which former Leeds striker Mark Viduka scored all four goals in a 4-3 thriller against Liverpool.

Many of the fans enjoyed reminiscing about the good old days of the Premier League. Viduka played 240 Premier League games and scored an outstanding 92 goals, along with 28 assists.

Viduka played four seasons in the Premier League with Leeds, before joining Middlesbrough in the 2004/05 season. The Australian international stayed with Boro till the 2007/08 season where he then joined Newcastle United.

Viduka was named the captain of his national side Australia by Gus Hiddink and has also received the PFA Alex Tobin OAM Medal for his contributions to Australian football.

What Do We Think?

It’s great that the Leeds fans had a chance to relive such a great moment in their history, imagine if the Peacocks beat the current Liverpool side 4-3, that would most likely be remembered for another 19 years also.

Viduka has done a lot for Australian football, so it’s nice to see him be rewarded not only in awards, but the fans appreciation from his former clubs.
