When LUFCDATA tweeted out a Luke Ayling stat fans had differing opinions about how he has performed this season.
Ayling has played 556 minutes this season and has a WhoScored average rating of 6.96/10. Despite all the impressive stats you can find out about the 28-year-old, some fans believe Stuart Dallas is still the better option.
Dallas has had a lot more game time playing 1428 minutes in total so far this season, apart from that their basic stats are very similar.
Luke Ayling has made more touches than any other Leeds player over the past six matches (503) since his return. Always has a huge influence on the side, particularly going forward. #LUFC #MOT #Bill pic.twitter.com/RynjyDLcVj

Personally thought he wasn’t that great against Blackburn but I’m not Bielsa so what do I know?!

Prefer Dallas at right back

Been very poor in my opinion since his return. Would be putting Dallas back to right back

Just a shame his final pass isn’t always the best and if he could shoot he would be even better, #dueagoal

Although not all the fans believe he should be dropped, these fans seem to be perfectly happy with the Englishman’s performances so far.
Been superb – considering he was injured

What Do We Think?
It’s hardly like Ayling has been playing awful, so perhaps this is mainly a preference thing with some fans just preferring a different style of player. We don’t think he needs to be dropped or punished in aspect, however, maybe some rotation could take place, just to see who is performing better.
