When Leeds United’s official Twitter account tweeted out the news that Mateusz Kilch had been called up to Poland’s national squad for their EURO 2020 qualifiers, it received a mixed response from the fans.
Some fans were happy for the 29-year-old, however, others questioned how the midfielder had earnt his call-up, despite Klich playing 1260 minutes so far this season for Leeds.
The Leeds midfielder started in Poland’s 3-0 win against Latvia in a EURO Qualification Group G match, but was substituted in the 60th minute.

Yet some Leeds fans genuinely try and argue he should be dropped. If Bamford could finish he’d have about 25 assists by now.

What Do We Think?
It’s surprising to see fans doubting his credibility, as he has hardly been terrible and actually has a higher average rating than Patrick Bamford at this moment in time.
Hopefully, the 29-year-old can use the call up to show the Leeds fans why he deserves to be starting every week, which also should silence some of his doubters.
