Leeds United’s Stuart Dallas was left out of the Northern Ireland squad for the 6-1 battering at the hands of Germany.
The versatile Northern Irishman has played 16 times in the Championship so far this season, adding up to a total of 1428 minutes – as per WhoScored. Dallas is known for playing various different positions when needed, already playing in eight this season.
Indeed, it was hardly a surprise when news broke about the 28-year-old being injured, many of the club’s faithful were very upset and concerned about his setback. Many of them took to Twitter to react to Graham Smyth’s update sharing their immediate reactions to the update.
Stuart Dallas felt some tightness in his hamstring so has missed out for Northern Ireland in Germany.
Will be assessed tomorrow by Leeds United.#lufc

I think he missed a night worth missing.
Just hope he’s fit for Leeds now— Andy Leatham (@leedswhiterose) November 20, 2019
Oh great!

The left-back spot is now looking a little understaffed, with Dallas and Ezgjan Alioski both now having injury issues. That just leaves Leif Davis and Barry Douglas as the likely candidates to cover the position.
Presumably Dallas can fill in for him? #lufc

He was due an injury I guess, been on a good run. Just annoying it’s the same 4 or 5 injured every season

What Do We Think?
This could be a blessing in disguise for youngster Davis, however, Dallas has the ability to pretty much cover for anyone at any time, so this is definitely a huge blow for Leeds. Luton Town is a team the Peacocks should expect to pick three points up against, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side winning four out of the last six meetings.
