Chelsea fans have been pleading on Twitter for Michy Batshuayi to start in their upcoming clash with Ajax.
These calls for the striker to start have stemmed from a tweet shared by the official Chelsea Twitter account of a picture of the Belgian in training for today’s Champions League showdown.
This tweet then led to some Chelsea fans wanting to see Batshuayi start against Ajax in midweek.
Here’s a sample of Chelsea fans asking for Batshuayi to start in their next game:

The Belgian was pivotal in Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Ajax in Amsterdam two weeks ago. The 26-year-old came on as a substitute in the second half and scored the only goal of the game to secure all three points for the West-London club, as well as receiving a 7/10 (as per Express) for his efforts. Since the win in Amsterdam, Batshuayi has only scored one goal, Chelsea’s equalising goal in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.
But, some Chelsea fans think the striker deserves a chance to play against Ajax at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

What do we think?
This season has seen Tammy Abraham secure his place as Chelsea’s first-choice striker. The Englishman has made 11 appearances in the Premier League so far this season, scoring nine goals and producing two assists, which has made it almost impossible for Batshuayi to edge him out of the starting lineup.
