Some Celtic fans are fuming at their club’s tweet which saw them release some ticket information about their upcoming Scottish League Cup final.

The Hoops beat Hibernian in the semi-final of the competition earlier this month, ousting them with a 5-2 scoreline. Mohamed Elyounoussi grabbed a brace, like Scott Brown and Callum McGregor scored one goal of his own.

But Celtic posted some ticket information on Twitter and this has left many of the club’s fans fuming.

The ticketing system for the final is based around a ballot system and the club have said that there are no special privileges for the fans who have a membership since the beginning of the campaign.

More than that, the statement has also revealed there are no special provisions for kids and young adults. The prices for tickets on the website are for only the adults and for all the stands at Celtic Park.

Despite that, the club has asked fans to understand and appreciate that it is a ‘difficult process‘. They have also said that they ‘will not be able to satisfy the demands’ of all the supporters who wish to be at the League Cup final in early December.

Some fans have expressed disappointment at not being able to get tickets for the game.

What do we think?

It is fair to say that the fans have every reason to be disappointed. But from the club’s perspective, they can’t accommodate everyone. Especially when it is a huge final involving two fierce rivals, it is impossible to get tickets for every single Celtic fan. Fans who failed to get the tickets should realise that the club hasn’t been deliberate in doing that.
