Some Celtic fans have praised Nir Bitton following a post that surfaced online.
The 28-year-old Bitton was in action for the Israeli national team in the ongoing international break. He featured for the nation in their 2-1 loss against Poland, as Bitton played the full 90 minutes at the centre-back position.
So far this season for the club, the defender has also played as a midfielder. He has made 15 appearances in all competitions. His recent comments about versatility sparked a positive response from many Hoops fans, who are now demanding that the 28-year-old be handed a new deal at the club.
A cracking player. Very versatile and a good pro. Hope he stays for another few years.

Bitton joined Celtic in the summer of 2013 from Israeli club Ashdod and signed a four-year deal at the club. Since arriving, the defender has played 196 times in all competitions for the club and has scored 12 times since then, assisting 14 times.
Over the years, his game time at the club has reduced. Last season, he featured only ten times in the Scottish Premiership. In the 2017-18 season, he made a total of 23 appearances and racked up a tally of two assists.
He has had a fair share of injury problems as well, having missed 64 games through injury since the start of the 2016-17 season.
The praise for Bitton continued from some other fans as well.
Have to agree very underrated if he stays fit and plays regular be hard to take him out no matter wat position it is.

What do we think?
While Scott Brown is the longest-serving player in the current Celtic squad, Bitton is the club’s fifth longest-serving player at the Glaswegian club behind Brown, James Forrest, Callum McGregor and Tom Rogic.
He has stayed at the club for the last six years and some months and he has done a good job whenever he has been called upon to do a job. His aforementioned statements show what mentality he has and showcase his commitment to the cause for whatever team he plays for. Celtic need to keep this spine of the team, going forward.
