Celtic fans on Twitter were full of adoration for their manager Neil Lennon after statistics emerged of his sublime record since rejoining the club.

The 48-year-old is in his second spell in charge at Parkhead and has enjoyed enormous success since succeeding Brendan Rodgers earlier this year, winning 30 of his 39 games in charge.

Fans on Twitter were full of appreciation for the Northern Irishman as he notched the latest of many victories on Saturday – a 5-2 triumph over Hibernian that sent the Bhoys to a fourth successive Scottish League Cup final.

What do we think?

The table never lies and in this instance, neither do the stats. Rodgers’ shoes were difficult footwear to fill, but Lennon’s second spell in charge of Celtic has seen the Bhoys go from strength to strength. The football is bullish but equally attractive, the goals continue to roll in and the club beat one of the biggest clubs in Italian football just a short few weeks ago. If he can maintain this high level of quality football throughout the season, Celtic fans can look forward to even more success with their current boss.
