Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to express their wishes to see Henri Lansbury remain at the club.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @Total_Villa shared a post on their page asking their followers if they think Lansbury should stay at the club or leave in the upcoming January transfer window.
This post then gathered many replies from Villa fans pleading for Lansbury to stay at the Birmingham club.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans wanting Lansbury to stay:

What do we think?
The 29-year-old, who is valued at £1.35 million (Transfermarkt), has only made five appearances for Dean Smith’s side in all competitions so far this season. However, in those five appearances, the central midfielder has managed to pick up five assists for the club, so he certainly has something to offer (per Transfermarkt).
Of course, Villa already have the likes of John McGinn, Jack Grealish, Marvelous Nakamba, Douglas Luiz and Conor Hourihane as central midfield options, so Lansbury needs to be at this best if he is to break into the side.
Despite not being a regular starter for Dean Smith, Lansbury has shown what he is capable of when called into action. He certainly offers an attacking threat from midfield and could be deployed as an impact substitute in games that the club may be chasing, so keeping him is definitely the best option for now.
Whether he will stay at the club for the foreseeable future is uncertain but at the moment, Lansbury has proved himself as a valuable asset to the team when called upon.
