Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to sing the praises of John McGinn after the midfielder scored a brace in Scotland’s 3-1 win over Kazakhstan on Tuesday.
This wave of praise came after the official Aston Villa Twitter account quoted a tweet from the official Scotland Twitter account celebrating McGinn’s brace in their 2020 European Championship qualifying match.
This tweet from the Birmingham club then gathered many replies from Villa fans ecstatic with McGinn’s heroics.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans thrilled with McGinn’s performance:

I will never ever ever bad mouth Steve Bruce after pulling off THE SIGNING of the century …what an absolute steal ….

Steve Bruce signed the 25-year-old back in August 2018 from Scottish side Hibernian for a fee of £2.79 million. McGinn, who is currently valued at £5.85 million, according to Transfermarkt, has quickly proved himself in England, with this latest performance for Scotland further proving what a great player Villa have in their ranks.
Villa take on former boss Steve Bruce’s current side Newcastle on Monday evening, and some Villa fans are hopeful McGinn will take his international form over to the Premier League.
And he didn’t get his third to complete his hat-trick as he decided to keep it and use it on Monday night v Newcastle instead. What a guy.

What do we think?
Since McGinn joined Villa in 2018, he has been one of the standout performers for the club. In 58 appearances for the club in all competitions, McGinn has scored 10 goals and made 12 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).
With Villa hovering above the relegation zone in 17th place in the Premier League table, Monday’s clash with Newcastle at Villa Park is crucial. The Villa fans will be relying on McGinn to step up in order to help the Midlands club seal all three points at Villa Park against their former manager.
