Is Matt Doherty Wolves' best defender?Yes, he's absolutely classNo, he's good but not quite |
The 27-year-old’s classy performance in Portugal earned him a 7/10 rating (as per Express and Star).
Alongside a solid performance, the Irishman bagged the Old Gold’s second goal of the evening following a fantastic ball from Raul Jimenez, which many fans commended him on.
Goal of the season so far Matt in my opinion of course! Absolutely brilliant

What do we think?
While the full-back only has a 6.73/10 average rating for the season so far (per Whoscored), Doherty, who is valued at £13.5 million (Transfermarkt), has been influential in Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
With three goals and one assist for Wolves across 19 appearances so far this term (per Transfermarkt), the 27-year-old has been a key figure in the final third, as well as in the defensive third, which will hopefully continue.
