Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters have aired their delight over the club investing in youth, following Tim Spiers’ update on Nigel Lonwijk.
On Tuesday evening, The Athletic reporter for the Old Gold revealed that the Molineux club was set to sign the 17-year-old Dutch centre-back from PSV Eindhoven (per Tim Spiers).
With the youngster set to arrive as a highly-rated prospect (per Birmingham Mail), supporters were pleased to see the club investing in youth.

The 17-year-old has previously featured in the Netherlands’ Under-16 set-up and has been a part of de Boeren’s Under-19 squad this term (via Football Oranje).
With some predicting the youngster to follow in the footsteps of Liverpool’s gargantuan centre-back Virgil van Dijk, due to their Dutch nationality, some fans were excited about the youngster’s potential.

What do we think?
While the youngster is a relatively unknown quantity, he arrives at Molineux highly rated by the Eindhoven club (per Eindhoven Dagblad).
With a reported ‘strong and athletic’ build (as per Tim Spiers), he could have a big future at Molineux, should the 17-year-old realise his potential.
