When West Ham United tweeted out a video of Pedro Obiang scoring a top corner strike, it made many fans miss their former midfielder.
Obiang is now playing for Sassuolo in Italy, where he has played a total of 744 minutes for his new club so far this season. However, many of these West Ham fans regret the clubs decision to sell him, maybe even more frustrating for them is that he was never replaced.
Goals against Spurs don’t get much better than this. Absolute rocket. pic.twitter.com/TIWXEPCyEY

Getting rid of Kouyate and Obiang and not replacing has been a mistake. Need midfield legs!!

A player that plays in a similar position currently for the Hammers is Carlos Sanchez, however, the Colombian has had an awful time so far, playing just 14 minutes this season.
Still cannot believe we sold him and didn’t replace him. That is the owners for you.

Shame we sold him for a pittance and replaced him with a 32 yr old Donkey – so West Ham unfortunately

What Do We Think?
Clearly any fan would have Obiang at the club right now over Sanchez and considering the South American has practically done nothing this season, he may as well not be at the club. The 27-year-old is now playing regular football in a decent team and also in a solid league, so it would not appear as though some of these Irons faithful will be getting their wish anytime soon.
