Winston Reid played 46 minutes against the Republic of Ireland while away on international duty with New Zealand.
The vast majority of the fans feel it would be a bad idea to start the 31-year-old in such a tough game against Tottenham Hotspur, however, with games against Chelsea and Wolves following that one, it begs the question of when do you start him?
Has played minutes for club and country, do we start Reid for the game against Tottenham? #COYI pic.twitter.com/qiTGsvFV6D

No, too big a risk, even if currently we have a cheese-grater defence….

He hasn’t played for 2 years— hammerhead (@larryberyl) November 18, 2019
That be too harsh for a comeback game.. what’s happened to ogbonna?

The general feeling was that the fans wanted Angelo Ogbonna to start alongside Issa Diop instead of the Kiwi.

What Do We Think?
There’s no harm in Winston Reid, who is valued at £4.5 million (Transfermarkt), getting on the bench and maybe playing 10-20 minutes depending on how the game is flowing. To start the match might be asking a little bit too much, despite the 31-year-old starting for New Zealand against the Republic of Ireland most recently.
