West Ham United skipper Mark Noble is said to be desperate to play a part in the London derby versus Tottenham Hotspur this weekend and, according to Claret and Hugh, there is a 60% chance of him featuring on Saturday.

A West Ham insider told the website he is making good progress in his recovery from the ankle injury he suffered at Burnley.

He also went on to say: “His enthusiasm to play a part is so infectious and anyone who knows Mark knows he is not a fella who will only play if he feels 100 per cent fit. If he can get out there in any circumstances you can be assured he will be.”

TIF Tactics – Passion, fight and desire to win

Noble is a local lad who understands exactly what this particular fixture means to the clubs supporters. His passion for the club and determination to get himself fit as soon as possible gives you an idea as to why he’s so adored in East London. The 32-year-old has made the starting line up in 83% of their Premier League fixtures so far this season.

On average, Noble makes 43 passes in a Premier League game with a success rate of 84.9% and therefore plays a key part in keeping things moving in the Hammers’ midfield. His passion, fight and desire will be felt within the dressing room come Saturday’s derby, even if he’s not quite fit to participate. At a time of difficulty for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, he will no doubt turn to his captain to help him inspire and remind the players of what this fixture is all about.
