When West Ham United made the move from the Boleyn Ground to the London Stadium they also changed the club’s-crest. The new one included the word London in an attempt to increase the club’s global marketability but overall, the design in-kept with the clubs traditions.
Despite the decision coming as the result of an online poll, there are still lots of supporters who are unhappy with the more recent design and so via Twitter – the discussion around whether or not the club should stage another vote and re-design has resurfaced.
Should never of got rid of the old badge the new one looks like a 6 year old had designed it

Not a badge redesign, how about we just get our original badge back.

Definitely, the new badge is horrible imo. It’s a clear marketing ploy with the word “London” at the bottom. No other club in London has the word London on their badge!

This is my favourite, simple and the one we all use and draw everywhere! ??

“London” on the badge has to be removed

What do we think?
Fans don’t usually tend to be receptive to changes of things like club-crests, particularly when the club in question is one steeped in as much tradition as the Hammers. However, times have changed and marketing is a huge part of building a successful modern-day football club.
At least the owners have ensured they have maintained key-elements of the club’s identity. It could have been far worse; remember when Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan changed their home kit from Blue to Red in an attempt to make the club more appealing to those watching from the Far-East. After lots of pressure from the clubs supporters, the Malaysian businessman reversed his decision.
