West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini is still clinging on to his position as the club’s manager despite a dreadful run of results that has seen them slump down to 17th position in the Premier League.
With upcoming trips to Chelsea and Wolves followed by the visit of Arsenal, most supporters are anticipating the sacking of the 66-year-old is imminent.
Therefore the question on the lips of West Ham supporters all over the globe is who will replace him? David Moyes, Sean Dyche and Eddie Howe are all being linked with the position but it appears the supporters are just as divided as the board are said to be.
Who would you like to see replace Manuel Pellegrini?
Moyes
Dyche
Howe
Get Moyes back, he did nothing wrong but it was fans who drove him out because we wanted a so called big name and now look where that has got us. Just have to look at what he did at Everton with very little money.

It’s all confusing. The likely outcome is the board will hire the cheapest and most underwhelming option. They are incapable of making proper footballing decisions.

For once I’m actually on Karen Brady’s side.
I feel dirty.

What do we think?
It feels like a matter of when rather than if when discussing Pellegrini’s sacking but given the precarious position the club find themselves in the next appointment is crucial. Will the board be looking to appoint somebody who is likely to stabilise the club in the short-term with a view to finding a longer-term solution in the summer?
That seems like a sensible approach given most managers operating at a higher level are less likely to leave their posts mid-season for a number of reasons. Firstly, whoever comes in will need to make the team difficult beat in order to stop the rot but will likely be limited in terms of what they can spend in January and of course, they won’t have a pre-season in which to implement their ideas thoroughly.
Moyes feels like somebody who could steady the ship – but that’s about it. If he was to be appointed you suspect it would be on a short-term contract with a view to hiring somebody like Sean Dyche or Eddie Howe in the summer who would be able to take the club on a level. It’s for those reasons stated above that we suspect Moyes is a front-runner.
