Spurs fans are worried after hearing that Welsh defender Ben Davies attended their win over Olympiakos on Tuesday night wearing crutches, with the former Swansea defender revealing that he could be out for some time.
Davies, who signed from the Swans in 2014, was injured in the win at West Ham in Jose Mourinho’s first game in charge and could now be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, according to Jonathan Veal (via HotspurRelated).
The Welshman has made 177 appearances for Spurs in his five years at the club, with the 26-year-old often benched in place of Danny Rose.
If the Welsh international is out for some time, then it would not be a surprise to see Mourinho look for a new left-back in the transfer window as potential cover for Rose.
Should Mourinho look for another left-back after the Ben Davies injury?
Yes

These Spurs fans are clearly disappointed with the latest injury update on Davies, with many hoping that either Jan Vertonghen or Ryan Sessegnon can step up in place of Davies.
What do we think?
Losing Davies is a big blow for Spurs when you consider Rose’s poor start to the season; with the England international averaging just a 6.58 rating in his appearances so far this season. Although Mourinho has both Jan Vertonghen and Ryan Sessegnon potentially available to play left-back, the Belgian isn’t a natural full-back and the youngster hasn’t had much time on the field to settle in just yet, so it would not be a surprise to see the Portuguese manager look to bring someone in to replace Davies while he’s out injured.
