Spurs fans reacted to Jose Mourinho’s original plan to send Ryan Sessegnon out on loan, which has been scuppered by Ben Davies’ injury and the 19-year-old will now remain with the club.
According to the Sun (via DailyHotspur), the new Spurs boss had planned to send Sessegnon out on loan to increase the youngster’s game time and aid his development, but will now need the 19-year-old as cover for Danny Rose after Ben Davies suffered ligament damage against West Ham.
Sessegnon joined Spurs from Fulham in the summer but has found game time tough to come by since, with just two substitute appearances for the North London club thus far.
Many Spurs fans are hoping to see the England u’21 international get a run in the side following Davies injury, with Rose not popular amongst fans due to his current form and recent contract admission.

Spurs fans were clearly not happy with the reported news that Mourinho was planning to send Sessegnon out on loan and will be glad that the 19-year-old is set to stay with the club.
What do we think?
Sessegnon has of course only made two substitute appearances so far and is yet to feature under Mourinho but the youngster looked sharp in his few minutes in the Champions League; picking up an assist. It will be interesting to see if the new Spurs boss continues to favour Rose at left-back despite his form or whether we do see Sessegnon make his first start for the club in the near future.
