Spurs fans were heartbroken to hear that following his sacking from the club, Mauricio Pochettino contacted club captain Hugo Lloris to tell the squad they were all invited to his house so they could say goodbye properly.
The Argentinian boss was sacked earlier in November during the international break meaning he did not have a chance to say goodbye to a lot of the squad before Jose Mourinho was appointed the next morning. According to Sports agenda in Daily Mail (via HotspurRelated), Pochettino messaged Lloris telling him to tell the squad via Whatsapp they were all welcome to visit him at his home.
Pochettino was given the axe by Daniel Levy in November following a dreadful run of form which had left Spurs languishing in 14th place in the Premier League, with Mourinho seemingly already lined up as the 47-year-old’s replacement at the club.
Would Pochettino take the Arsenal job if offered?

Presumably he didn’t hear the doorbell when Eriksen and Jan came knocking.

Spurs fans were clearly upset with the nature of Pochettino’s sacking and feel as if he should have been granted a proper goodbye with the squad.
It’s a lovely gesture from Pochettino to invite all of the Spurs players round his house after all that has happened, and it’s clear to see he still has an awful lot of love for the club.
