Spurs fans were frustrated to hear that Argentinian forward Erik Lamela is still struggling with a hamstring injury which has kept him out since October, with many hoping that Jose Mourinho can sell the 27-year-old in January.

Lamela, who signed for Spurs from Roma in 2013, was confirmed by the club to still be out of training and will, therefore, miss the game against Bournemouth on Saturday. The Argentinian had started the season in fine fashion but suffered a hamstring injury against Red Star Belgrade in October and has been out ever since.

Despite being with the club for six years now, Lamela has made just 200 appearances due to his regular injury problems and it seems as if Spurs fans have had enough of the winger. With the January transfer window fast approaching it seems as if a lot of Spurs fans are encouraging Mourinho to sell the Argentinian international in order to raise funds for other players.

Spurs fans are clearly losing patience with Erik Lamela and will be hoping that he can either be sold or be back to full fitness in the near future.

What do we think?

Lamela always seems to struggle with the injuries which constantly halt his career, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Spurs look to move him on at some point. The 27-year-old is currently valued at £19.8 million by transfermarkt, so perhaps the Lilywhites can secure a fee in that region, with the likes of Heung Min-Son, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Giovani Lo Celso already available in attacking areas for Jose Mourinho.
