Spurs fans were treated to a video from the club showing highlights of the club’s last visit to Bramall Lane ahead of Saturday’s game against Sheffield United and lots of fans have used it to criticise the current form of Christian Eriksen.
The 2015 game saw Spurs travel to Sheffield United in the League Cup semi-final; with Eriksen scoring two superb goals to see Pochettino’s side through to the final. Sheffield United were in League One at the time, but the two teams meet as Premier League equals on Saturday; with Chris Wilder’s side currently performing miracles in the league.
The video has frustrated a lot of Spurs fans as it clearly demonstrates the immense talent Eriksen has, something which he is yet to show for Spurs this season. The former Ajax man made his intentions clear in the summer with Real Madrid reportedly interested in the 27-year-old. Eriksen’s contract is also set to run out this summer, which suggests that his time at Spurs is wearing thin, with many Spurs fans hoping to see the back of him in January.

Spurs fans were clearly not convinced by Eriksen’s performance and many will be hoping the 27-year-old is benched in place of Giovani Lo Celso on tomorrow, although he will need to be assessed ahead of kick-off.
What do we think?
Eriksen used to be a superb player for Spurs but it seems as if he is no longer bothered about playing for Spurs, so Pochettino should utilise players who actually want to be at the club. Eriksen has an average rating of 6.73 so far this season and has been a liability in Spurs’ midfield on numerous occasions.
Despite his two goals against Sheffield United last time these two sides met, it would be a surprise to see him repeat the feat in Saturday’s clash.
