Some Norwich City fans are convinced that only Tim Krul should win the club’s Player of the Month award for October.

The 31-year-old impressed for the Canaries despite their 3-1 loss to Manchester United in their clash this past weekend.

Krul saved two penalties in the game- first from Marcus Rashford and the second from Anthony Martial. Both did go on to score a goal each, despite that. Scott McTominay also scored one goal in the game.

Some fans of the club feel that there should be no question as to who their Player of the Month should be this time around.

Krul has made eight Premier League appearances so far this season, playing twice this month. Apart from United, the former Newcastle United man played in the club’s 0-0 draw against Bournemouth.

The 31-year-old joined Norwich from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2018. Last season, he played 46 times in the Championship for Daniel Farke’s men, playing an important role in their promotion to the Premier League this past summer.

Some other fans also have no doubt that Krul should win the accolade.

Krul made five first-team appearances for Brighton, but he played as many as 185 times for the Magpies during their time in the Premier League.

What do we think?

Despite him having played only twice this month, Krul has been key for Farke’s men, as evident by the clean sheet he kept against the Cherries. The fact that he saved two penalties against United should also be considered as an achievement in itself.

There were only two goals, with one each from Josip Drmic and Onel Hernandez, which would, perhaps, mean the accolade can’t go to an attacking player. In that sense, Krul would richly deserve it.
