Some Manchester United fans are keen on having Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stay at Old Trafford instead of having the Norwegian replaced by Massimiliano Allegri.
United are currently 10th in the Premier League, ten points off fourth-placed Chelsea. They are also 17 points behind table-toppers Liverpool.
Solskjaer’s men lost 1-0 to Bournemouth this past weekend. This defeat came after a 2-1 win over Chelsea in the League Cup and a 3-1 win away to Norwich in the Premier League (Sky Sports).
But the Red Devils have been linked with Allegri in recent weeks and Fabio Capello’s comments have sparked those rumours even more.
Fabio Capello: “England’s exciting, there’s the possibility of doing well and the Premier League is a championship that enriches you — If I was [Massimiliano] Allegri, I’d go to #mufc.” #mulive [radio anch’io sport]

And United fans are not welcome to the idea of having the former Juventus and AC Milan boss at Old Trafford.
I’d rather stick with Ole than get Allegri

Talking bout a job that’s still occupied. Where’s the respect?

Allegri won the Serie A with Juventus last season and has won as many as six Scudetto titles in his career. He has won five of those with the Bianconeri, winning one of those during his spell at AC Milan. He has also won the Italian Cup four times at the Old Lady.
The Italian joined Juve in the summer of 2014 after the exit of Antonio Conte from the Turin-based side. Before that, Allegri was at Milan and was the San Siro for four years. He has also managed the likes of Cagliari, SPAL and Sassuolo in the past.
Allegri is said to be currently learning English and reports have said that he is keen on joining United and would like to take over from Solskjaer should the Norwegian leave the club at the end of the season.
What do we think?
Allegri is known to use a 3-5-2 shape, but he did play more of a 4-3-3 shape or a 4-2-3-1 in the last 2-3 years of his Juventus stint. He is known to be a manager who prefers a pragmatic brand of football.
Jose Mourinho was quite the same with his pragmatic style, but United fans appeared to have constantly complained about that style. Having said that, United will not move too forward unless they have a sporting director in place.
However, links with Allegri could be considered a positive, considering the fact that United can still attract a top manager in the game.
