Some Manchester United fans are still raving about the skill that Marcus Rashford pulled off in United’s 3-1 win against Brighton on Sunday.

United’s 3-1 win over Graham Potter’s men saw Andreas Pereira, Anthony Martial and Rashford get on the scoresheet for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men. It was Pereira’s first league goal of the season.

Rashford, 22, also scored his sixth goal of the season. He has played 12 Premier League games this season, also assisting three so far.

One piece of skill that Rashford came up with left many United fans raving about the Englishman. It wasn’t the goal that got as much attention.

The United youth product has played 17 times in all competitions for the Red Devils this season, finding the back of the net as many as nine times.

The England international made his debut for United in the 2015-16 campaign under the tutelage of former manager Louis van Gaal. He scored a brace against Midtjylland in his first start, helping United beat the visitors 5-1 at Old Trafford in the UEFA Europa League.

He went onto score seven times in all competitions for United that season, also earning himself a Three Lions call-up in 2016, as he made his debut against Australia, in which he also found the back of the net (TransferMarkt).

United’s win over Brighton saw them climb up to seventh in the Premier League table. They are now only one point behind Arsenal, heading into the last international break of the year.

What do we think?

The piece of skill was a piece of wizardry, but he did miss three or four big chances in the game. One was an open goal miss in the second half. He took seven shots on goal, yielding just a single goal. It implies that the player still has to improve his final ball, even though he has done well for the club this season.
