Manchester United fans were treated to a video from Luis Nani on Twitter this week and it seems like a lot of fans miss the Portuguese winger.

Nani, who signed for United in 2007 from Sporting Lisbon, went on to become a fan favourite at the club in his seven years there; scoring 40 goals in 230 appearances for the Red Devils. He returned to Sporting Lisbon on loan in 2014, before leaving permanently to join Fenerbahce a year later and it seems like a lot of fans miss the Portuguese winger.

Now 33-years-old, Nani plies his trade in the United States with Orlando City, with whom he continues to score some wonderful goals; hitting 12 in his most recent MLS campaign.

The forward was often overshadowed by his Portuguese compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo during their time together at United, meaning Nani was often underrated by a lot of Premier League fans.

However, after he thanked United for their birthday wishes on Twitter, a lot of fans sung his praises; as can be seen in the tweets below.

It seems as if a lot of United fans really miss Nani and would welcome him back at the club should he ever choose to return to England.

What do we think?

It was a surprise to see Nani leave for as little as £4 million in 2015 and he has continued to score goals wherever he has been since, so you could look at it as a mistake.

He may have been inconsistent at times, but there can be no doubt that he excited fans with his skills and trickery on the wing and it seems like that is exactly the sort of player United fans would love in their current situation.
