Some Manchester United fans are rejoicing on learning that Victor Lindelof will miss the club’s Europa League clash against Partizan Belgrade today.
The Swede has played in ten Premier League games so far this season and has also featured one time each in the Europa League and in the League Cup, per data collected by Transfermarkt.
The former Benfica man also played in the club’s disappointing 1-0 loss to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium earlier this week.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now confirmed that Lindelof will not be available for United in the home game against Partizan. Some fans seem very happy that the defender will not feature on Thursday.

Lindelof arrived at United from Benfica in the summer of 2017 for a fee of £31 million and played for the Swedish national team in last year’s FIFA World Cup, helping them reach the quarter-final of the competition.
Since joining the Old Trafford based side, Lindelof has appeared 81 times in all competitions for the club. He has scored once, assisting once.
Last season, the 25-year-old played 30 times in the Premier League. He also played seven times in the UEFA Champions League and played a role in taking the club to the quarter-finals of the competition, as they eventually went out at the hands of Barcelona.
Some United fans are also annoyed by the number of injuries the players are getting.
Anyone knows how our physio department is structured? Is the required competencies available..? The number of injuries are abysmal

Solskjaer’s men are currently unbeaten in the Europa League and have not conceded a single goal in the competition. They beat Partizan 1-0 away from home, beating Astana by the same scoreline at home. But AZ Alkmaar held them to a 0-0 draw.
What do we think?
WhoScored have given Lindelof a rating of 6.58 this season and rank him as United’s 14th best player so far. Perhaps, he would benefit with this much-needed break, go into the international break and come back fresh and ready for the gruelling and unforgiving festive period.
Till then, United can give some regular football to Marcos Rojo, with Axel Tuanzebe not back in training yet.
