Some Manchester United fans are desperate to see young Timothy Fosu-Mensah get another chance of impressing at Old Trafford soon.

The young Dutchman, who was on loan at Fulham last season, sustained a serious knee injury at the Craven Cottage-based side towards the end of the previous campaign.

He returned to United at the end of the temporary deal and is now continuing his recovery from the injury. But the latest injury update has revealed that Fosu-Mensah has stepped up training and he posted a video about it recently.

Some United fans really believe that the player deserves another chance to make a mark at Old Trafford.

For Fulham last season, Fosu-Mensah played 12 times in the Premier League. He played at the right-back position but did not score or assist even once for the London-based outfit.

In the 2017-18 campaign, the 21-year-old was at Crystal Palace. He played 21 times in the Premier League for the Eagles, playing at right-back and also playing the centre-back position under Roy Hodgson.

For the United first-team, the player has made 21 appearances in all competitions. He has one assist.

Some United fans feel that Fosu-Mensah should play in the defensive midfield position for the Red Devils, replacing Nemanja Matic.

Fosu-Mensah made his debut for the United first-team during the rein of former boss Louis van Gaal in the 2015-16 season.

What do we think?

Fosu-Mensah’s current deal at Old Trafford runs out at the end of the season. He has limited time to prove his worth at the club. Once he returns, he has the chance to impress and his versatility will help him do that. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have a decision to make, but there is every chance the 21-year-old stays beyond the season.
