These Manchester City fans fully support their star and are backing him to take home the prestigious award as they replied to his tweet regarding the nomination.

Well deserved for what you have achieved on and off the pitch. You are a great ambassador not only for @ManCity but British football.

What do we think?
Sterling has already managed seven goals in his 12 Premier League appearances this season and there are no signs of his performances dropping off. Under the stewardship of Pep Guardiola, he has developed into one of the world’s top players and the sky is the limit for this young man.
Sterling has not only displayed excellence on the pitch but he’s been at the forefront of the efforts to stamp out racism from our game and speaks articulately and calmly regarding topics that traditionally get people a little hot under the collar. A role model both on and off the pitch, the nomination should come as no surprise.
