German Champions Bayern Munich are said to have renewed their interest in Manchester City star Leroy Sane. The 23-year-old suffered an ACL injury during the Community Shield fixture versus Liverpool in August and has yet to play since but that hasn’t deterred the Bayern hierarchy from planning ahead and clearing the way for a move in the Summer.
According to Goal.com, the Bundesliga giants have reached out to top football agent Giovanni Branchini regarding their on-going pursuit of the Germany international. Sane, who hasn’t always been a regular starter under Pep Guardiola, was heavily linked with a move to the Allianz Arena towards the back end of last season but his unfortunate injury prevented discussions progressing.

Although the £90m-rated star could be set for a return to action in the new year, Bayern will be keeping a close eye on his recovery which would explain why they are planning a summer bid for the player rather than making a move during the January window. When it comes to ACL injuries the road to full-fitness is a long one, it will take time to regain the sharpness the player is known for and patience is key.
