Liverpool fans are worried that injury-prone midfielder Naby Keita may suffer another injury as he prepares for some international fixtures with his native Guinea.
Keita has struggled with injuries since joining from RB Leipzig in 2018 after signing in 2017
The midfielder has suffered several short-term injuries in his time in the Premier League, which has prevented the former Leipzig man from ever really profiting from an extended run of games.
Although, he found himself starting against Genk this evening as Jurgen Klopp put his trust in the midfielder, which saw him record 74 minutes at Anfield.
It is no surprise that Reds fans are concerned about the Guinean’s welfare as he prepares to leave the club for two international games, as his injury history isn’t the greatest.
Reaction from Liverpool fans to the news of Keita’s call-up can be seen in the tweets below.
Hopefully he won’t be treated badly and forced to play with an injury again.

He’ll come back injured.

More than likely he will get injured again

Brilliant, so they can injure him again and send him back?
I’m losing patience with this guy, he doesn’t seem to help himself any, he’s barely fit, say no. England players do it, yet Guinea players can’t?— Snoochie Boochies (@SnoochieB) November 4, 2019
Well his season is over

Let write him off till April shall we lads

These tweets clearly show that a lot of Liverpool fans are concerned that Keita might suffer another injury on international duty and his Premier League season could seriously struggle as a result.
What do we think?
It seems strange that Keita, who is valued at £45 million (as per Transfermarkt), is willing to risk going away on international duty when he has really struggled for fitness of late and you would expect him to start both games as Guinea attempt to secure Africa Cup of Nations qualification.
Keita played very well in one of his few starts against Genk in the away leg and managed to last 74 minutes tonight, but playing regularly on the international stage does carry the risk of injury.
