Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum hit a hat-trick in the Netherlands’ 5-0 win over Estonia on Tuesday night and Reds fans were full of praise for the Dutchman on Twitter.
The 29-year-old, who signed for Liverpool from Newcastle in 2016, continued his electric form for the Netherlands with another treble on Tuesday; meaning he finished qualifying with 11 goals for his country. Wijnaldum has been a regular in Jurgen Klopp’s side in his three years at the club; with 157 Reds appearances now under his belt.
The midfielder has not been able to transfer his goalscoring form for his country to games with Liverpool, and hasn’t exactly reached his full potential; averaging a 6.73 rating for the Reds. The midfielder was joined on the scoresheet by fellow Premier League star Nathan Ake and youngster Myron Boadu as the Oranje completed their European qualifying campaign in style against Estonia.
Reaction from Reds fans to Wijnaldum’s international display can be seen in the tweets below.

Liverpool fans were clearly delighted with Wijnaldum’s performance against Estonia and will be hoping he can produce a similar display away at Crystal Palace this weekend.
What do we think?
Wijnaldum is a very important midfielder for Jurgen Klopp and demonstrated his worth for the Reds with an excellent display in their 3-1 win over Manchester City before the international break.
Reds fans will certainly be hoping that the 29-year-old can take some confidence from his hat-trick on Tuesday into upcoming games for Liverpool.
