Liverpool fans were greeted to the news that Jurgen Klopp could be interested in Schalke man Amine Harit in January and fans seem to be very keen on the Moroccan midfielder.

According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport (via LFCTransferRoom), Liverpool could make a move for the 22-year-old in the upcoming transfer window, with Klopp hoping to take advantage of his good relationship with Schalke boss David Wagner. The German was assistant manager to Klopp at Borussia Dortmund and it seems as if the former Huddersfield boss would be willing to let Harit leave for Liverpool for as little as £17 million.

Harit has made an impressive start to the Bundesliga season; scoring five goals and earning a 7.26 average rating. The Moroccan won the Player of the Month award in October for his performances and it seems as if the scouts at Anfield are impressed with the attacking midfielder.

Reaction from Reds fans to the link with Harit can be seen in the tweets below.

One fan even described him as a similar type to Nabil Fekir, who reportedly came close to an Anfield move last summer and now plays for Real Betis in the La Liga Santander.

Reds fans are clearly keen on the 22-year-old and feel he would be a bargain transfer if Klopp is able to bring him in either in January or in the summer.

What do we think?

£17 million looks to be a bargain for a player who has seriously impressed in the Bundesliga so far this season and with the connection between Klopp and Wagner, a move seems very likely.

With Adam Lallana potentially set to leave in the summer when his contract ends, Harit could be the ideal replacement and add another creative option in Jurgen Klopp’s midfield.
