Everton: The potential transfer kitty with the Toffees a big draw for David Moyes

|

It has been suggested that the amount of money Everton have to spend is the major draw for David Moyes, according to the Mirror.

West Ham and the Toffees are, reportedly, both interested in bringing the Scot in to manage should they sack their current gaffers (as per Daily Mail).

However, the 56-year-old wants assurances that he will be given a long-term contract – and should that be guaranteed the potential transfer kitty would swing it for the Goodison Park club (via The Mirror).

Potential ‘tug of war’

The former Toffees and Hammers boss will not be believing his luck, with both of his former sides interested in reappointing the Scotsman (as per The Mirror).

Just a point separates the two sides, with Everton in 16th and the London club in 17th (per BBC), so, Marco Silva and Manuel Pellegrini look like they are destined for the chop.

However, with both angling for the former Manchester United manager to return, that could lead to a ‘tug of war‘ between the two clubs.

Would David Moyes have spent £108 million better than Marco Silva did over the summer?

Yes, he has a good eye for a transfer

No, Silva did well with incomings

TiF Tactics – Is Everton likely to spend in January?

Should Everton tempt Moyes back to Merseyside, and have made the decision themselves they whole-heartedly want the Scot back (per The Mirror), he will be in desperate desire of winter reinforcements.

The Toffees have already splashed just shy of £108 million on incomings this term (per Transfermarkt), and may not want to spend further.

However, with a recent report from FOX Sports (via Sports Witness) suggesting that the club had bid £12.8 million for Rafael Santos Borre, they could be out for more signings.

You would imagine if the Merseyside club is to bring in any newcomers in January, they would look to ship out a player or two around the same time.

Plenty of rumours have been circulating over a potential Moise Kean exit in recent weeks, due to his lack of game time, so, the Italian could be a potential departure to fund incomings.

To transfer or not to transfer seems as though it will swirl around in rumour until the Toffees do or do not sign someone in January, but it seems clear that if Moyes does come in, expect more to follow through the open door.
