Fans of Everton have slated Gylfi Sigurdsson following his latest appearance on international duty for Iceland.
Everton’s 30-year-old attacking midfielder played a key role in his country’s 2-1 victory over Moldova on Sunday night by scoring the winner, however, missed a penalty after his goal (as per Sky Sports).
With supporters ruing the Icelandic’s recent penalty record, many slammed their midfielder’s penalty ability despite the fact he still played an influential role in the victory.
His penalty conversion percentage must be horrific

Love Gylfi but he is a terrible PK taker

The 30-year-old’s latest penalty miss has left Sigurdsson with a record of having missed six of his last ten penalties since June 2018 (as per Transfermarkt).
However, overall the Icelandic has converted 27 and missed eight across his entire career (via Transfermarkt).
Following the latest penalty miss, supporters called for a change in spot-kick taker for Marco Silva’s side.
Digne should be our pen taker

He’s been Evertoned with pens and free kicks

What do we think?
To have missed six of his last ten penalties is, without a doubt, a shocking record for any regular spot-kick taker, which Silva should perhaps reflect upon with who he decides should take penalties in future.
While his overall record remains good, it seems as though the 30-year-old is no longer firing on all cylinders.
