Everton supporters have gushed over a club post on Andre Gomes, where the player thanked fans for their continued support.
The video message, posted by the Toffees official Twitter account on Wednesday, showed the Portuguese middleman thanking supporters for all of their get well soon wishes (via Everton).
With Everton fans still reeling from the injury sustained by the midfielder in the clash with Tottenham Hotspur (as per BBC), many were delighted with the message from Gomes.

The 26-year-old has featured in nine league and cup outings for the Toffees so far this term and has picked up a 6.4/10 average rating for the season (as per Whoscored).
Not expected to return to Goodison Park action until the very end of the season at the earliest (as per The Express), supporters loved the latest update from Gomes.

What do we think?
While there may be a high level of animosity around Goodison Park at the moment, the support for Andre Gomes is a breath of fresh air.
Of course, the Portuguese midfielder can’t help on the field but his support off the field is certainly providing fans with a sense of happiness in what is a difficult time.
