Fans of Everton have reacted to the news explaining why Moise Kean was omitted from the matchday squad against Southampton.
On Tuesday morning, it was revealed by the Liverpool Echo that the Italian 19-year-old was dropped from the squad due to a ‘second breach of club regulations’ having turned up late to a team meeting (as per Liverpool Echo).
It was reported that the striker had apologised to the team and management staff (as per Liverpool Echo), which some supporters accepted and were keen to move on from.
He was late, that’s all. It has been dealt with.

He’s not the first to do it and I’m sure he wont be the last to do it. He’s still only 19, hopefully he learns from the punishment

Forgive the young guy and do not hold it against him. I hope to see him playing up front alongside Richarlison pretty soon.

Before the 19-year-old had even kicked a ball for Everton this term, his character was called into question by TV pundit Graeme Souness (via Liverpool Echo).
The Liverpool legend alluded to some pre-existing problems at Juventus, and that is why the Merseyside club was able to tempt the youngster out of the Turin club’s hands (as per Liverpool Echo).
With some supporters sticking up for Kean, others condemned the Italian, stating that Souness may have been right all along about the youngster.
Souness did try and tell us!!! #EFC

Why has this been leaked. Joke of a club. Will open up questioning of his attitude now. If people think players haven’t been late before they’re stupid. Last ‘bad attitude’ was lookman. Before that drenthe. Was mirallas ‘bad attitude’ sat round eating kebabs at 17stone?

This is why Juventus sold him. Need to knuckle down. Has the talent as we all know.

Can’t say we weren’t warned!

Moise Kean was late for two team meetings so that’s why Marco Silva dropped him for the Southampton game. Don’t blame Marco Silva at all if a player has that attitude needs to be put in his place.

What do we think?
Moise Kean is still a young player, learning his trade in the brightest spotlight at club level in world football – the Premier League (as per BBC).
In any walk of life mistakes happen, the 19-year-old has apologised, served his penance and everyone should move on – it is far too early to be making hard and fast assumptions about his character.
