Supporters of Everton took to Twitter following Saturday’s victory over Southampton to air frustration over Morgan Schneiderlin’s performance.
The former Saints midfielder was reintroduced to the Toffees’ starting lineup following a short spell on the sidelines through injury, coupled with horror injury to Andre Gomes against Tottenham Hotspur (via BBC).
Despite picking up a sturdy 7/10 during the 2-1 victory (as per Liverpool Echo), many Everton supporters were frustrated with the 30-year-old Frenchman and blamed him for the Saints’ equaliser.
Gbamin will be a great player for us too. I’d be moving on Schneiderlin & getting a CM lined up for January is I’m Marcel Brands. Gylfi can do a job deeper too imo

Not having that sorry. The ball came in from the left, not the right, Schneiderlin too weak. Can’t blame a goal in which the ball came in from the left on the right back! Absolute nonsense!

Schneiderlin defending that right side for the build up to their game was woeful

Schneiderlin wasn’t half poor for their goal. Boufal isn’t exactly great, so for him to be giving the slip to one of our senior players is telling.

He’s a total waste of space. I would make him train with the under-3s. That’s about his level.

The midfielder has been with the Toffees for almost three years, having signed at Goodison Park from Manchester United in January 2017 for £24 million (via BBC).
Over those three years, the Frenchman has made 79 appearances, scoring one and assisting two over that duration (per Transfermarkt).
With supporters believing the 30-year-old’s Everton days are numbered, some targeted a possible replacement available to Marco Silva within the club’s ranks.
Can someone tell me what happened to baningime?? surely he has more to off than the crab that is schneiderlin.

Banigime instead of schneiderlin

What do we think?
It is doubtless, Schneiderlin, who is valued at £13.5 million (Transfermarkt), should have done better in the build-up to Danny Ings’ goal to prevent the equaliser (as per Liverpool Echo).
Coupled with an uninspiring average rating of 6.16/10 for the season so far (per Whoscored), the 30-year-old is certainly struggling for good form this term.
