This term, the youngster has played in eight Premier League 2 ties within the Everton youth set-up, bagging five goals and two assists over those eight outings (via Transfermarkt).
With supporters patiently anticipating the day Gordon’s introduction to the first team will come, many had him down to start against the Saints on Saturday.
What do we think?
With Gordon training with the first team this week (per Everton), and missing the Under-21’s tie against Crewe in midweek (via Liverpool Echo), Everton supporters’ long wait for their 18-year-old’s Premier League debut could soon be over.
The Merseyside club is in dire need of some positivity at the moment (via Independent), and Gordon’s introduction – should he play well – could be exactly that.
