It has also been revealed that the player and his father made a similar visit to Manchester United’s Carrington training ground ahead of a potential move away from Salzburg next summer.

TIF Tactics – What’s Erling Haaland all about?

The 6ft 3in Norwegian is a powerful centre forward for whom scoring goals comes naturally. His technical ability combined with his dominating physical stature makes him the ideal focal point from which to build your attacking play. He has scored 15 goals and registered six assists in just 12 Austrian Bundesliga games so far this season, further evidence of why he’s regarded as one of Europe’s hottest prospects.

According to TransferMarkt.co.uk, the son of former Manchester City and Leeds player Alfe-Inge Haaland is currently valued at £27m and if he continues to perform at his current level, that figure is expected to rise significantly.

There will be an almighty battle for his signature with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus all said to be monitoring his situation closely. Interestingly, according to Bild, his father Alf-Inge has advised him against making a move directly to the Premier League or La Liga suggesting the player would benefit from a move to the German Bundesliga first with sister club RB Leipzig a potential destination.
