Arsenal fans have been crying out for a dominant central-midfield player ever since Patrick Vieira left for Juventus back in July 2005. In recent years the club have brought in Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira but despite both signings being full of promise, they have failed to have the impact the supporters and management would have hoped.
These Gunners’ fans have been debating who they would like to see brought in during the upcoming transfer window and there was one dominant midfielder in particular who’s name was constantly mentioned.

What do we think?
Wilfred Ndidi signed for Leicester City from Belgian side Genk in January 2017 and at the time manager Claudio Ranieri spoke of the players “big future”. The 22-year-old’s performances have been of huge importance to Brendan Rodgers’ side who are flying high in second place, nine points ahead of Unai Emery’s Arsenal.
According to Transfermarkt.com, the player’s value is currently estimated at £31.5m, more than double the amount Leicester City paid for the midfielder. He’s no doubt a talented, powerful and physical player who could potentially become one of the world’s best in his position, but given the fortunes of the two clubs at present, it’s going to take an astronomical bid from anybody, let alone Arsenal, to persuade the Foxes to sell.
