Arsene Wenger has been appointed as FIFA’s new Chief of Global Football Development. The announcement came on Wednesday afternoon and the Frenchman is now set to take up his first post since leaving the North London Club in May 2018.
The former Arsenal boss has been linked with the vacant managerial position at Bayern Munich but despite Wenger confirming he would be speaking with the club, it appears a deal was unable to be agreed.
These fans feel Wenger is fully deserving of the role and took to social media to congratulate the 70-year-old on his new prestigious role.
Well deserved. Man of integrity and dedication. Best of luck for him.

What do we think?
As far as experience goes, there aren’t many who can boast more than Wenger. Particularly when he first arrived in England, the Frenchman was known for his ability to identify raw talent and develop them into some of the world’s best players.
His new role will focus on coach education and he will assist former professionals entering into management for the very first time. During his time out, Wenger has established himself as a highly respected TV analyst and continues to captivate audiences with his vast knowledge and understanding of our sport.
