Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson could be in contention to feature in the upcoming league fixture versus Southampton at the Emirates Stadium.
The 19-year-old suffered a knee injury back in October and has not featured in the first-team since – but are the Gunners fans pleased to see the England Under-21 international back on the scene?
He’s been obscenely awful in the games he’s played this season. Not ready for first team at all

What do we think?
Nelson, who is valued at £15.3 million (as per Transfermarkt), spent last season out on loan with TSG Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga and turned in some impressive performances. The 19-year-old made 27 appearances for the German club and managed seven goals during his time there but hasn’t quite had the impact some would have hoped having returned to the Arsenal this season.
It’s worth noting however, Nelson’s performances fizzled out towards the back end of his time in Germany but it’s equally important to remember he is still extremely young. The player has made six appearances so far this season and scored his only goal in the Carabao Cup win over Nottingham Forest.
The pressure on the modern-day footballer to perform week in week out is more intense than it has ever been and although Nelson hasn’t been great this season, he’s by no means been the only one who has underperformed in the famous red and white shirt. He will require time to get up-to-speed but as far as the long-term future goes, it remains unclear as to what Unai Emery has planned for him.
